John Candy & Steve Martin have Nothing on Mary and I ...

Planes, Trains and Automobiles, Try... Planes, Trains, Automobiles, Ferries, Subways, Hiking, Running, ... do i need to go on... ??? :)

Leaving Mykonos was quite an adventure for Mary and I. First off, we arrive at the Ferry dock via our bus with only a print out of our confirmation, not the actual tickets. So it was touch and go for a minute there whether or not we were going ot be able to bet on the boat, but luckily, with one quick phone call, we were saved and on our way to Athens.

A couple hours later we arrived, harassed by taxi drivers we make our way to the subway station, where Mary informs me that we have a little less than 2hrs til our flight to Milan, connecting to Venice. Saweettttt i say, lets hit up the Acropolis, ya know the Parthenon, anyway, we arrive at the subway stop in about 20 min, we are cutting it close, but figure why not, right. Then we realize, we have to climb about a mile up, with our bags in toe on our backs! UGH.. cursing myself for doing this and i am sure Mary was secretly cursing me as well, considering she had already done this sightseeing tour when she was waiting for Ellen and I a week prior. Anyway, we finallz make it up there, and to our surprise, it was FREE to get in. Thank God, b/c we now realize that we have about 30 minutes to get in and out and still find transporation to the airport. Running around the Acropolis like crazy girls we snap photos away an take in the amazing views of athens and these massive structures and make our way back down. Figuring that we can make it back to the subway station, we start hiking our way back down when we look at the watch and see that it is 4:40 and our flight is at 5:55 and we are 30 min. away by car at least. So we give in and take a cab arriving just at 5:00. We are saved... So we think!

Alitalia!! CURSES CURSES CURSES and their stupid strike! Our flight to Milan was 2hrs delayed which means we are going to miss our flight to venice, so, they put us on another flight with another airline to Rome where we are then suppose to connect back on their airline to Venice. Well, we make it to Rome and we are delayed again. So much that we have to stay in a hotel in Rome. Which we didnt mind too much, b/c Mary had never been, but our luggage was still at the airport and we wanted to change and shower. So, since i am now the Roman expert, i take Mary around town and show her the sights and of course get my Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar fix and then we head back to the hotel... to wake up 4 hrs later. (obviously neither mary or i slept a wink).. back on the bus to the airport, we head to our gate, where low and behold, it is Delayed, AGAIN! Luckily not too bad only 45 min or so.

So, Venice! We finally arrive to Venice.. extremely tired, hungry and dirty. Once there, we book our train to Zagreb (Capitol of Croatia), which was to leave at 9:00 that night... so we are booked and have a day to spend. Which was extremely great. Venice is a beautiful city. Mary and i took alot in, including a lovely, romantic gondola ride through the canals of venice, ate 2 ridiculously large meals and i of course snapped a million pictures. And along the way, i ran into 3 of my Aussie Friends that i met on the train traveling from Barcelona to Nice. It was great! And looks like i will be seeing them in Prague! Fun Times!

After a long day of sight seeing, we head to the train where with 3 minutes to spare, the conductor informs us that the tickets we purchased that morning was only for one person! GREAT!! so.. luckily he and his colleague we nice guys and that i had a few extra euros and American $$ on me or we would have been in big trouble. Because not only was it only for one ticket, but my pass doesnt cover 2 countries that i was traveling through, so i had to pay for that as well! Anywho, finally settled in our sleeper car, we aim for a decent night sleep. We were deceived. Every 30 minutes or so, a police officer checked our passports for all the different countries and we arrived at 4:30am.. again, dragging our feet, still dirty and hungry yet again where we take yet another taxi to the airport where we flew into Split in Croatia. Which is where were are now. Our hostel room was not what we expected, so after serious converation with the Croation lady that did not speak any english and her sister and son translating, we got what we paid for, a one bedroom apartment with kitchen. Quite nice.. and a SHOWER!! ahh.. the luxury!!

But in santorini... i asked the rain to go away and come again another day, and it did!! So after an hour on the beach, the clouds rolled in and the rain started.. ugh.. and that my friends is why i have the time to update you all! Tomorrow we are off to Dubrovnik... i cant wait!

And now the sun is back out... so, so am i!!

I promise pics are coming soon!

Love you!

Mykonos - A Little Black Dress and an Open Mind

What!?! As i am sure you are all asking yourselves...

On the ferry on the way to Mykonos, i of course was trying to sleep while Ellen and Mary alternated between espressos and beer to keep them going, anyway, just as we were arriving to the dock, this on gentleman kindly asked us where we were headed and of course we answered, and since ellen basically handled greece for mary and i, (thanks god!) we were happy to let her answer. So... after terrible small talk, we ask them where is the best place to go out, and that is when he kindly told us, in Mykonoos Town.. and to were a Little Black Dress and Keep an Open Mind. Ok... we said and turned to each other with a WOW expression.. did he really just say that!

Anyway.. for the remainder of Mykonos, that is all we could say to each other all while laughing...

so.. we arrive in Mykonos and our hotel is fantastic!! A pool that disappears into the horizon of the Sea and is steps from the beach where the clear green / blue water awaited us. It was awesome! The weather could not have been any better. The three of us were in heaven! A few cocktails on the beach, swimming, laughing and pictures! That night we had dinner on the beach and headed into Mykonos Town like our ferry buddies told us, but this time we joined our new friends from Norway that we met on the beach. They were so fun and hysterical. After a long night out, we headed back to the hotel and crashed! Up and early we enjoyed our free breakfast at the hotel and got prime chairs at the beach. Again... beautiful weather!! By the afternoon, we were starving and enjoyed a lovely lunch at the pool where our pool was a salt water pool. I have never experienced that before. I, of course the blonde that i am, thought WOW... i must be really salty from the Sea... until Ellen advised me after taking a dip that it was salt water pool... Ah Ha, now that makes sense! Silly Me!

Now.. this is when the hysterics continue. Mary, Ellen and i take a water taxi over to Super Paradise. WOWIE .. this place goes off!! Techno music LOUD like crazy ...dancing on rocks, the beach in the water on the bar. It was unreal and only like 5:00! And lots of fun.. and obviously, lots of laughter on our end.

Anywho, being that this was our last night, and poor ellen had to be up and out by 4:30 we returned from super paradise where we packed up and headed into town where we again enjoyed a great meal in Little Venice. It was right on the Sea with this Ginormous Boat / possible Pirate Ship... cruising in front of us. It was crazy. then we did a little more sightseeing and headed home....

Rain Rain Go Way... Come Again Another Day...

Greece... wow is this place friggin amazing... for starters... Ellen and I flew from Rome to Athens to meet up with Mary, my friend from college... We arrive in Athens shortly after 11:00pm... where poor Mary has been there since 2:00pm... and Low and behold, the European Cup (Soccer) is being held in Athen that night... so there are crazy red jerseys everywhere! Anywhoo... Mary saw the sights and then met Ellen and i for a late dinner... which was delicious... with Balsamic paste.. which was no Olive oil and Balsamic Vinegar.. but it helped the fix! :) and then we headed back to the airport for our 6:00m flight to Santorini... And let me tell you... the Athens airport was a sea of red jersey bodies... there was not a spot of white floor available... men, women, children, all the same were sleeping and/or passed out in every inch of the airport. Since we had no hotel because of the short time period, Mary, Ellen and I pulled up some tile of our own and attempt to take a little nap... It was freezing and we barely slept, but it was something!

A quick little flight to Santorini and we arrive... super early. So early (7:00am) that our room is not ready and we have to sleep in the business center til it is. Which wasnt so bad, except it was cold, and people kept waking us up, trying to use the computer. Anywho, in a few short hours, we were in our cave like room with a jaw dropping view of the Sea and the rest of Santorini.

Later that day, the three of us parked ourselves on our chairs on the cliffs overlooking the Sea with a delicious lunch and our books and of course suntan lotion. We occasionally fall asleep, but were awaken by these little tiny mysterious flying bugs... anywho, it was a fantastic afternoon. For dinner that night we headed to Oie (i think i spelled that wrong) but it is at the far end of the island with an amazing panaoramic view of everything. Surprised that there was no seafood on the menu, we order greek salads and their specials... which really wasnt too special, just Chicken, Pork and something else, i forget, but it was good!

Checking out the town, we do a little sight seeing and shopping and head home.

The next day... BOO!! Rained!! How on earth can it rain in the Greek Islands!?!?! So, needless to say, we were very disappointed. But did that deter us? Heck no! we still went to the Black Beach, where the sand is actually black. It is pretty cool.. we hung out there for the day, had a couple of Greek Beers and Chocolate cake, where the waitress, who only had the 3 of us and one other couple to wait on, was probably the MOST ENERGETIC woman/waitress i have every seen. When she brought out the chocolate cake, she put a sparkler in it and then was shouting FIRE! FIRE! FIRE!! crazy... Still slightly bummed about the rain, we head back to our amazing view and order in massages to the room... quite lovely and our massage lady then recommended the most FANTASTIC - OUT OF THIS WORLD seafood restaurant, Dimitri's. The owner, whose name is escaping me right now was from Vancouver and she came there to visit and never left. That was 20 or so years ago. Anyway, it was right in this little fishing cove. Amazing mussels.. although, i do still thing the ones in Cinqu Terre were better, but these were darn close! And a really great seafood pasta. Mary, Ellen and I were stuffed beyond belief!

Now were are off to Mykonos

When In Rome...

So... Rome.. Round Two was awesome~!

Since we left off.. i have eaten enough food to feed an army... and i think before Rome i lost 10 pounds.. in Rome.. i probably gained it all back!! i am severely addicted to Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar...:) and Rome has had the best tomatoes yet!

Anywho... When in Rome... do as the Romans do..!! Ellen, Mia and I went to dinner.. and decided to venture away from our normal pasta routine... so Mia and I order the Lamb.. .and Ellen the Veal... Ellen's veal was pretty normal... Luckily for me, they forgot order my lamb, because they thought Mia and I were sharing, because when the lamb arrived, i kid you not, it was an actual leg with the HOOF stiff attached... i was so grossed out, i couldn't even look at mia for conversation, b/c it was right in front of her... and to top it off.. after trying it.. it was gross! so we downed our bottle of wine and took off! Our plan was to go to the Treve Fountain, but a fun looking bar and good music distracted us, so we went in... The bartender loved us.. .so after a few cocktails, beers and a sambuca shots, (yuck by the way) we found ourselves crammed in a mini with 3 other people heading to a local Italian discotecca!! Yes.. we Rome-ed it up!! Danced, drank and had a blast... at the end of the night we grabbed a cab home, to find out that Mia's wallet and camera were GONE!! so we retraced our steps, but to no avail... it was gone gone gone!

The next day was the Vatican, Sistine Chapel & St. Peter's Baslica.. no place to be if you are the lightest bit hungover. But it was beautiful! And really cool... The Sistine Chapel ... WOW!! amazing that Michelangelo comepleted that... the colors are so vivid.. and the stories in each area tell so much.. So creative! St. Peter's is the largest church in the world... they had these little circles in the center of the church letting you know how large other churches are in the world... and our St. Patrick's in NYC is the smallest church.. and that one is huge, so imagine St. Peter's!

later that night we went to Supper Club.. this very sheik restaurant where you eat on beds and they have interesting performances.. it was really cool...

the next day... Mia hit up the Embassy and got a new passport and Ellen and i shopped around... then we all met up for yet another amazing lunch near the Spanish Steps, which is the cutest area next to our Trestavere. After a relaxing afternoon, we had a delicious dinner near the Trevie Fountain and then did the coin toss into the fountains and made our wishes...

The last day... we each kind of did our own thing... i saw the Pope speak, which was really cool.... but so hot!! i mean WOW i was roasting... and then i went to the Pantheon, which in the picture, looks like i am naked! Hysterical, considering the Pantheon is the oldest church ever made.. and i look naked in it! And i also climbed the steps of St. Peter's to the highest point in all of Rome... Boy was that tiring!! Ellen and Mia hit up Campo Fiuori and then we met for lunch..

Now Ellen, Mary and I are in Santorini... GREEK ISLANDS baby!!

More to come!

Rome

Rome... An amazing city.. Mia found this fantastic apartment for me, her and Ellen to rent in Trasteverde, which is kinda like the Greenich Village of NYC. Super cool, with tons of people our age. The city is awesome and such delicious food.. and man oh man can these italian eat!

Last night, our first night here, we went to Rinaldi al Quirinale Ristorante, a restaurant that was refered to us by my dear friend Dena and her family. WOW... it was delicious! We took the advice of Dena's dad and opted out of ordering off the menu and just eat whatever they served us. Seriously, you would have thought that there were 10 people eating with us, that's how much food was brought out... but of course, in true, Rachel, Ellen and Mia style, we handled it!! Mussels, Salmon, Calamari, Eggplant, Clams, Buffalo Mozzerla, some kind of cieche thing and an Octopus salad and Anchoives!! And yes... I ate Octopus and Anchoives!!! WHAT!?! i know all of you are thinking to yourselves.. and it was pretty good... although.. i am Definitely NOT and anchoive fan... oh.. and did i mention that was just the appetizers! Then there was pasta and fish and lots and lots of wine... and of course dessert... simply amazing!!

Today, we headed to the Collesium... it was pretty cool. Of course we were waiting for Russell Crowe and Jauquiem Phoenix to duel... but unfortunately, that didn't happen.. :) we also checked out Palamino which was realy cool with amazing landscapes and this other cool place (that i am blanking on the name right now... but will add when i update next) which had a run down or semi-knocked down over time arches and columns and things... it is so cool that this massive structures and columns and everything are a catrillion years old.. and stilll standing .. wow!

We also went to the Spanish steps, which to me ... eh.. a little disappointing... i dunno, maybe from that silly DeBeers commerical, i expected them to be massive and stretch for miles or something... but know... not that big at all.. but the neat thing about them is that they were created to connect the lower part of Rome to the church above...

Anyway.. off to eat.. AGAIN!!... and of course, I cant wait!!

We are in Rome for a few more days... so more to come!

Siena & Metro Roulette

This will be a quickie! Siena is very luscious green! and like i said earlier, has a wall around it. It is realy quite neat with with beautiful views from museums and a really colorful Duomo. After enjoying a wonderful italian meal, Mia and i decide to hit a local pub, where i have my first "real" introduction to Italian Men... Salvadore... boy oh boy did he have quite a crush on me... and since according to him, we were both BELLA, we were meant to be together... and he wants to come to america with me... after mia practices her italian with him and his friends, we gracefully finished our beers and exit!! Where we head to the local square for a couple more beers and people watching. Super fun!

Now with one day to spare before we head to Rome, we decide to play Train / Map roulette. So we close our eyes basically and decide on Chitiveccia... since it is on the way to Rome... and i must say, we were pleasantly surprised. The town itself is a little run down, but it feels as if it was once a huge tourist town and then all the sudden stopped... but the water is crystal clear blue and the people are really nice.

Well that is all for now... here are the pics from Siena and Chitiveccia... off to Rome tomorrow!<

Lucca y Pisa - Stefano Style!

Mia and I hit up Lucca... and let me tell you it is adorable! Lucca, Pisa and Siena all have these amazing walls built around them. They were created during Roman times in case of war. But the funny thing is, Lucca was never in a war! The only time they were about to have one, was with Pisa, they paid them off! Hysterical!

Anyway... Lucca, like i said is adorable, and the only way to see it is with Stefano Palmieri. He is one of Mia's friends, and now one of mine. He is so awesome! He picked us up from the train station and took us back to his house where his mom, who is the sweetest lady in to world, made us delicious green tea. Then we headed to "the country house" (think Diane Lane's house in Under the Tuscan Sun) which is where we were going to stay. This country house, that belongs to Stefano's best friend Daleta's family was amazing! 50 - 100 olive trees in the yard, beautiful antique beds and water pitchers, a huge kitchen... WOW.. and an awesome guest house. I couldn't believe it. And while Miea and I were there getting ready for the night, Stefano whipped up this amazing pasta dinner from zero ingredients! And seriously, it was probably the most fantastic pasta dinner i have ever had - with an out of this world olive and tomato sauce... and yes... those olives came from the yard!! And as ya all know, i don't even like olives, but let me tell you, i am starting to!!! WOW oh WOW!!!

After dinner, we headed to Villa Rossi... yes, i said a VILLA!! unbelievable. This villa was gianormous, beautiful, breathtaking, everything.. and we saw it in the night, imagine if i saw it during the day! Anyway... there, Stefano's amazing musician friends were practicing for a big show this weekend. Both of these singers / bands are rediculously good! They are totally going to make it and make it BIG! I highly suggest you check them out.

Simone's Band: Three Maniac Swing
Elisir's Band: Elisir Band www.elisirband.com www.laghenga.com

So, after a few beers, amazing atmosphere and fantastic music, we called it a night and headed back to the country house.

The following day, Stefano and Daleta took Mia and I on a great tour of Lucca. This town is seriously so adorable! It has a great plaza with little restaurants and cute shops and we finished touring Lucca by walking the 4 mile wall.. Super Cool. After working up an appetite, we head back to Stefano's house where his mom makes yet another fantastic pasta lunch -- (now i know where he gets his great cooking from!).. this pasta was so yummy!! plus this mouthwatering slow cooked beef and peppers and chilled vino... my stomach is starting to growl just thinking about it! Two homecooked italian meals from italians in Italy!! What more can a girl ask for!?!?!

After lunch, the four of us head to Pisa... which is actually only 20min or so away from Lucca... and yes my dear friends, I did all the RG CHEESY pics you can imagine with the Leaning Tower...and I even made a reluctant Mia take a few, too!! I hope you like them!

here are the links to the rest of the pics!

Cinque Terre & Florence, Italy

Cinque Terre was absolutely breathtaking. This is a National Park with 5 little fishing villages, each located about 2miles apart, set above the Mediteraneo Sea. The views are unreal! The buildings of each town are pale, pastel colors with laundry hanging, which usually would look tacky, but let me tell you, it was gorgeous! And very homey. It was quite nice. The air was fresh and i don't even know what else to say, but it you get to italy, you MUST go to there!! And Vernazza, where we stayed was my favorite of the 5 Towns... The people were pretty cool, although i think they all were tourist :) .. except for the Vernazza soccer players. The food was amazing, with seafood galore!!! The best mussels i've ever had - Monterossa - one of the villages!! WOW!! And my little hiker friends, you would be thrilled to know that Mia (my housemate from LA) and I hiked the the trail!!! Boy oh boy was that a hike!! Luckily, we accidentially went backwards, so to speak, so we did the hardest part first, which entailed extremely steep, rocky steps and loose gravel footing... so one wrong move and you are overboard... (think the cliffs off route 1 heading towards San Fran) ... ending on the Ville dell 'Amore, AKA Lovers Lane... which was very romantic for Mia and I :) Later we met up with Kelly Morris and Kjartan (our Norwegian friend) for dinner and drinks. And to our delight, we were able to get beer out of the vending machine!! Can you believe that!

So... Mia and I head to Florence... and to my surprise, it is not that great... i mean the Duomo is spectacular! Probably the most beautiful structure, church, i have ever seen. The color is hard to see on a picture, but there are these amazing pinks and pale greens throughout the outside of this massive building. And it is crazy how they put it all together.. The Ponte Vecchio is pretty cool with fantastic little shops and markets and the river it overlooks is very calming... That part of FLorence was great... but the rest of the city, i feel is dirty and too "bustling" for me. The Academy - The DAVID is gianormis! I mean seriously, huge. I was so WOWED, i mean even the veins he carved in the marble looked perfect. But the rest of The Academy didn't have much too offer. If you go, i suggest you make a reservation, like we did (thank you chaz) the line is rediculous to wait on.

Anyway... Mia and I have just arrived in Lucca.. and we are staying with a fantastic friend, Stefano... more on that later...

til then....

PS. Barcelona

Oh my gosh... i forgot to tell you all two hysterical parts of Barcelona.

First... after our crazy journey from Morrocco, finally arriving in Barcelona, Court gets off the train for a cigarette break, while Chaz and i finish loading up our stuff, only to have the train take off!! Leaving Court in Barcelona and Me and Chaz to God knows where!! Luckily, it was only going to the train depot to get cleaned up about 15min away... wùbut Lordy, you should have seen us ... me panicing.. theny laughing hysterically when i realized we were ok...

Second... there was this old dude, seriously, maybe 70yrs old, in Barcelona that a wini-bikini tatooed on him! Leaving his manhood open for all the world to see with piercings... so WRONG on so many levels!

Anyway... I am in Cinque Terre, Italy right now. It is amazing!

I promise to update shortly!

Love ya!

Barcelona

hey hey hey... Barcelona....

Barcelona is pretty great! Lot and Lots of Mosaics... This architect / designer Gaudi is all over the city. He has created some massive parks and has been working on this one cathedral for years, he actually died doing it, and now his assistant and the city are trying to finish it for him. Should be done in 20-40 years... it is so ugly, yet interstings and pretty at the same time.

Kelly Morris and i did a bike tour of the city and enjoyed delicious sangria at the beach, it was sooo good! And we also met some really fun guys from Germany that were staying at the same place we were, they kept us laughing for hours!

Today we went to the Picasso Museum, Parc de Guell, and the Cathedral de Barcelona, all so beautiful!

By the way... these little piggies didnt go all the way home! :)

Anywho... tonight we are off to Italy... I can´t wait!

I promise pics are to come, all these computers are so old, they don´t have USB access, and if they do, they don´t work... figures! :-)

Cervesas, Vino, 2 Brewer Boys, 1 Griffin and Camels...

Cervesas, Vino, 2 Brewer Boys, 1 Griffin and Camels... That makes for a very interesting adventure... but before we dive into that... let me just say GRANADA! Now that is the place to be!! This is the most quaint town with amazing Tapas.. that are Free.. the only place in Spain that gives you free tapas! And they are delicious, especially with a lovely glass of red wine!

So, a few sights...

The Cathedral de Granada is really beautiful and they have these amazing, gigantic books and scriptures... really interesting. The the statues inside are outstanding.

Now...many of you know, I have a few people meeting up with me along the way... well, the Brewer Boys met me in Granada (Chaz & Court Brewer) and it was nothing less than hysterical from the second we met up. We toured all around Granada and went up to see La Alhambra. And that place is spectacular and has amazing views of Granada. The mini "squares" and separate rooms are really neat!

Dinner... oh boy... we ate at this lovely little restaurant called PIBE across the valley from La Alhambra... it was... well... interesting... Chaz and I, well we think we ate Cat, but we are not quite sure... and Rapfeal, who we met, was kind enough give up his table for us, so we in turn bought him a beer, as a thank you... which in turn, he bought us raw meat "that was very expensive" according to him, but tasted... um not so good... so we thanked him... and ate it... but boy oh boy.. it did not go down well... then we graciasly took it to go... and casually threw it over the edge...

Flamengo Dancing... wow... those ladies go OFF! they are insane! and Amazing! there was even this little girl who did it... she must have been 8 or 9.. and she was great... the grandmother was so proud.

Now... MORROCCO!!

Oh boy... this is where the trip gets interesting!! :-)

Arriving in Morrocco is crazy... taxi drivers come at you in herds.. it is unreal... but after finally settling on one,... we make it to our hotel. And can i just tell you, this hotel was awesome! for 25€ each... we had a 3 person room... Mediterrean Sea View, a pool and pretty decent shower... the sheets were, well.. gross.. but we each had our own sleeping bag so it worked out... so, after Court napped and Chaz and I hit the beach and pool, we decided it was time to hit the town. LORDY! LORDY! it was a treat... the hotel pointed us to this great Cab driver.. and i would tell you his name, but it way to hard to pronounce. So, anyway, he takes us on this 2hr tour of Tangier, Morrocco. I think we must have seen maybe 100 different "king´s" houses, b/c apparently they all have houses there. He also introduced us to his daughter and showed us where he lived, after taking us to this super fun camel place, where we went on a fantastic Camel ride on the beach and through these fields or something. It was really fun. Katarina, my camel, totally rocked. We bonded.. she is 12 1/2. :-)

So, after the camel rides, the cabbie drops us off in the Market area to go shopping and to have dinner. This is where it gets a little dicey... well, not dicey if you know how to haggle, which we go the hang of.. but man, those shop guys get in your face! Chaz had briefly thought he wanted a bongo, why, we still don´t know.. (just kidding chaz) .. anyway... the guy said it was 60€ which is crazy.. so we walked away.. and then chaz really decided that he didn´t want it.. the guy would not take no for an answer, and followed us for 30 min. going down in price. Finally, after the 100th NO.. he left. Then of course we got lost back there, b/c it is built like a maze, but we managed to get out and head to Hamidad for an amazing Morroccian dinner with delicious Morroccian wine. We ended the night with laughter and a few cervesas at the hotel.

The next morning, we decide it is better to take the earlier ferry back to Spain, for safety, b/c we didn´t want to miss our train... well.. we had a little ticket mishap, causing us to lose about 10min... which in Griffin/Brewer world, i am sure you all know is NOT GOOD... so we run outside to of course find ZERO cabs... so we start walking and decide we need to get there, and fast! So... there go the Thumbs, and low and behold, a lovely gentleman pulls over and we jump in! (sorry mom, but we had to do it.. and there were 3 of us, we knew we could take him if we needed to!) :-) anyway... we haul it to the ferry station, only to have the gate close on us, i mean literally close on us, so we are stuck! and we now have to wait for the 1:00 Ferry, which we means we are cutting it super close for our train.. So, with time to kill, we do a little shopping and relaxing. We jump on the boat as soon as it arrives and get situated. Enjoying the view and a few cervesas, we enjoy the boat ride, which of course leaves 25 minutes late, so we begin to panic, just a little... once arriving in Spain, it take another 10minutes for the gate to close, great! So we now have about 20 minutes to get to the train station that is 30min away. We knock over elderly and smally children to get through customs and make it to the taxi. it is 20€ to get there... we give him 30€ and say GO GO GO!! RAPIDO RAPIDO... arriving at the train station with about 30seconds to spare. Remembering that Chaz still has stuff in a locker that we have to grab, too! Slightly stressing, we pull it off.

WOW oh WOW! what a day!!

Top 3 photos are from Granada... bottom three are from Morrocco

Love and Miss you ... and Yes we are ALL SAFE!!

Capturing the Moment...

Tired Tourist at Real Alcazar in Seville, Spain
