Cervesas, Vino, 2 Brewer Boys, 1 Griffin and Camels...

Cervesas, Vino, 2 Brewer Boys, 1 Griffin and Camels... That makes for a very interesting adventure... but before we dive into that... let me just say GRANADA! Now that is the place to be!! This is the most quaint town with amazing Tapas.. that are Free.. the only place in Spain that gives you free tapas! And they are delicious, especially with a lovely glass of red wine!

So, a few sights...

The Cathedral de Granada is really beautiful and they have these amazing, gigantic books and scriptures... really interesting. The the statues inside are outstanding.

Now...many of you know, I have a few people meeting up with me along the way... well, the Brewer Boys met me in Granada (Chaz & Court Brewer) and it was nothing less than hysterical from the second we met up. We toured all around Granada and went up to see La Alhambra. And that place is spectacular and has amazing views of Granada. The mini "squares" and separate rooms are really neat!

Dinner... oh boy... we ate at this lovely little restaurant called PIBE across the valley from La Alhambra... it was... well... interesting... Chaz and I, well we think we ate Cat, but we are not quite sure... and Rapfeal, who we met, was kind enough give up his table for us, so we in turn bought him a beer, as a thank you... which in turn, he bought us raw meat "that was very expensive" according to him, but tasted... um not so good... so we thanked him... and ate it... but boy oh boy.. it did not go down well... then we graciasly took it to go... and casually threw it over the edge...

Flamengo Dancing... wow... those ladies go OFF! they are insane! and Amazing! there was even this little girl who did it... she must have been 8 or 9.. and she was great... the grandmother was so proud.

Now... MORROCCO!!

Oh boy... this is where the trip gets interesting!! :-)

Arriving in Morrocco is crazy... taxi drivers come at you in herds.. it is unreal... but after finally settling on one,... we make it to our hotel. And can i just tell you, this hotel was awesome! for 25€ each... we had a 3 person room... Mediterrean Sea View, a pool and pretty decent shower... the sheets were, well.. gross.. but we each had our own sleeping bag so it worked out... so, after Court napped and Chaz and I hit the beach and pool, we decided it was time to hit the town. LORDY! LORDY! it was a treat... the hotel pointed us to this great Cab driver.. and i would tell you his name, but it way to hard to pronounce. So, anyway, he takes us on this 2hr tour of Tangier, Morrocco. I think we must have seen maybe 100 different "king´s" houses, b/c apparently they all have houses there. He also introduced us to his daughter and showed us where he lived, after taking us to this super fun camel place, where we went on a fantastic Camel ride on the beach and through these fields or something. It was really fun. Katarina, my camel, totally rocked. We bonded.. she is 12 1/2. :-)

So, after the camel rides, the cabbie drops us off in the Market area to go shopping and to have dinner. This is where it gets a little dicey... well, not dicey if you know how to haggle, which we go the hang of.. but man, those shop guys get in your face! Chaz had briefly thought he wanted a bongo, why, we still don´t know.. (just kidding chaz) .. anyway... the guy said it was 60€ which is crazy.. so we walked away.. and then chaz really decided that he didn´t want it.. the guy would not take no for an answer, and followed us for 30 min. going down in price. Finally, after the 100th NO.. he left. Then of course we got lost back there, b/c it is built like a maze, but we managed to get out and head to Hamidad for an amazing Morroccian dinner with delicious Morroccian wine. We ended the night with laughter and a few cervesas at the hotel.

The next morning, we decide it is better to take the earlier ferry back to Spain, for safety, b/c we didn´t want to miss our train... well.. we had a little ticket mishap, causing us to lose about 10min... which in Griffin/Brewer world, i am sure you all know is NOT GOOD... so we run outside to of course find ZERO cabs... so we start walking and decide we need to get there, and fast! So... there go the Thumbs, and low and behold, a lovely gentleman pulls over and we jump in! (sorry mom, but we had to do it.. and there were 3 of us, we knew we could take him if we needed to!) :-) anyway... we haul it to the ferry station, only to have the gate close on us, i mean literally close on us, so we are stuck! and we now have to wait for the 1:00 Ferry, which we means we are cutting it super close for our train.. So, with time to kill, we do a little shopping and relaxing. We jump on the boat as soon as it arrives and get situated. Enjoying the view and a few cervesas, we enjoy the boat ride, which of course leaves 25 minutes late, so we begin to panic, just a little... once arriving in Spain, it take another 10minutes for the gate to close, great! So we now have about 20 minutes to get to the train station that is 30min away. We knock over elderly and smally children to get through customs and make it to the taxi. it is 20€ to get there... we give him 30€ and say GO GO GO!! RAPIDO RAPIDO... arriving at the train station with about 30seconds to spare. Remembering that Chaz still has stuff in a locker that we have to grab, too! Slightly stressing, we pull it off.

WOW oh WOW! what a day!!

Top 3 photos are from Granada... bottom three are from Morrocco

Love and Miss you ... and Yes we are ALL SAFE!!
