When In Rome...

So... Rome.. Round Two was awesome~!

Since we left off.. i have eaten enough food to feed an army... and i think before Rome i lost 10 pounds.. in Rome.. i probably gained it all back!! i am severely addicted to Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar...:) and Rome has had the best tomatoes yet!

Anywho... When in Rome... do as the Romans do..!! Ellen, Mia and I went to dinner.. and decided to venture away from our normal pasta routine... so Mia and I order the Lamb.. .and Ellen the Veal... Ellen's veal was pretty normal... Luckily for me, they forgot order my lamb, because they thought Mia and I were sharing, because when the lamb arrived, i kid you not, it was an actual leg with the HOOF stiff attached... i was so grossed out, i couldn't even look at mia for conversation, b/c it was right in front of her... and to top it off.. after trying it.. it was gross! so we downed our bottle of wine and took off! Our plan was to go to the Treve Fountain, but a fun looking bar and good music distracted us, so we went in... The bartender loved us.. .so after a few cocktails, beers and a sambuca shots, (yuck by the way) we found ourselves crammed in a mini with 3 other people heading to a local Italian discotecca!! Yes.. we Rome-ed it up!! Danced, drank and had a blast... at the end of the night we grabbed a cab home, to find out that Mia's wallet and camera were GONE!! so we retraced our steps, but to no avail... it was gone gone gone!

The next day was the Vatican, Sistine Chapel & St. Peter's Baslica.. no place to be if you are the lightest bit hungover. But it was beautiful! And really cool... The Sistine Chapel ... WOW!! amazing that Michelangelo comepleted that... the colors are so vivid.. and the stories in each area tell so much.. So creative! St. Peter's is the largest church in the world... they had these little circles in the center of the church letting you know how large other churches are in the world... and our St. Patrick's in NYC is the smallest church.. and that one is huge, so imagine St. Peter's!

later that night we went to Supper Club.. this very sheik restaurant where you eat on beds and they have interesting performances.. it was really cool...

the next day... Mia hit up the Embassy and got a new passport and Ellen and i shopped around... then we all met up for yet another amazing lunch near the Spanish Steps, which is the cutest area next to our Trestavere. After a relaxing afternoon, we had a delicious dinner near the Trevie Fountain and then did the coin toss into the fountains and made our wishes...

The last day... we each kind of did our own thing... i saw the Pope speak, which was really cool.... but so hot!! i mean WOW i was roasting... and then i went to the Pantheon, which in the picture, looks like i am naked! Hysterical, considering the Pantheon is the oldest church ever made.. and i look naked in it! And i also climbed the steps of St. Peter's to the highest point in all of Rome... Boy was that tiring!! Ellen and Mia hit up Campo Fiuori and then we met for lunch..

Now Ellen, Mary and I are in Santorini... GREEK ISLANDS baby!!
